Burglars pounce on MPD cruiser in North Memphis

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) – Two suspects crashed into a Memphis Police cruiser while leaving a burglary in North Memphis.

An officer responded to a burglary on Greenlaw Avenue around 3 a.m. Wednesday

When a driver in the first vehicle saw police on scene, he reversed his car as police struck the driver's side.

The driver then drove away.

A driver of a second vehicle also collided with the officer's driver's side. The driver and passenger then got out of the car and fled.

Police later discovered the second vehicle was stolen.

No one was injured in the accidents and no one was arrested.
