Davante Adams misses training due to illness, wrist

Jets interim coach Jeff Ulbrich said Adams will not practice Wednesday because of an illness and a sore wrist, Brian Costello of the New York Post reports.

Ulbrich didn't suggest that either issue was particularly serious, but Adams likely needs to practice some more before Friday so the Jets have a good chance of playing the Colts on Sunday. Since being acquired from the Raiders on October 15, Adams has had a slow start to his tenure with the Jets. Through four games, Adams has posted a 20-206-1 receiving line on 39 targets, with his 5.3 yards per target a significant decrease from his career average (7.8).
