We've talked a lot over the last few years about how to make smartphones and technology more fun. In general, phones have become a bit boring, but things like changing your Android launcher, trying out new smartphone manufacturers, and buying mobile game controllers can make your mobile life fun again. However, there are few things that spice up your smartphone experience like fun case colors. We asked you what phone colors you'd like to see in the wild, and you all gave some compelling answers. For those with strong opinions on smartphone colors, if you're looking to buy the next-gen Samsung Galaxy S25 when it launches sometime in the first quarter of 2025, a recent leak suggests you're in luck.

A natural titanium version could be an option

Ross Young, who is the CEO of Display Supply Chain Consultants (DSCC) and is a frequent source of serious leaks, posted on X that the upcoming Galaxy S25 series will offer some fun variations on the base colors. For the base model, users can choose between Moon Night Blue, Silver Shadow, Sparkling Blue and Sparkling Green. Compared to the Galaxy S24, which launched in Amber Yellow, Cobalt Violet, Marble Gray, and Onyx Black, the Galaxy S25's color line seems a lot more fun (and a bit more sparkly). The Galaxy S25+ will arrive in the same colors as the S25, except it adds Midnight Black to its lineup. And finally, for the more serious, the Galaxy S25 Ultra will launch with “Titanium” versions in black, grey, blue and silver, with the first three included in the base Galaxy S24 Ultra range.

Colorful fun

Young said that all colors will launch with the base model of each phone, which might be a relief for some since Samsung (and other brands) tends to save some of its best colors for online exclusive sales. Even though none of this information is confirmed, we hope it all becomes a reality. There's always room for the power users among us who want their phones to look as boring and “adult” as possible, but we're always tired of boring flagship colors. However, the rubber band effect always swings in the opposite direction every few years, and over time we will probably be willing to grow up and opt for less colorful choices.

Samsung isn't the only Android phone maker to release different color schemes for its devices. Google has obviously put a lot of emphasis on fun case patterns, and you can choose from Rose, Hazel, Mint and more colors for the Google Pixel 8. Google has released some iconic color options for its variety of devices over the years, such as the Google Home Mini in Coral or the Pixel 4 in Oh So Orange.
