Police looking for suspect after metal pipe attack

LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) – Police say a man was hospitalized after being attacked with a metal pipe outside Matt Talbot Kitchen and Outreach in Lincoln.

The incident occurred on October 19 at around 3:30 p.m. The victim told officers he was sitting outside the assistance center when he noticed a man acting belligerent toward others. According to police, the victim confronted the man, which led to the attack. The suspect reportedly struck the victim several times with a metal pipe, breaking his hand and requiring hospital treatment.

According to the victim, the suspect arrived on a black mountain bike with a green cord attached to the seat.

In an unrelated case, Lincoln Crime Stoppers is asking for help identifying a woman involved in a disturbance at the subway station near 13th and South streets on Oct. 16. According to police, the woman entered the gas station, filled two cups with slushies and … attempted to pay for them as soda. When confronted by the cashier, she allegedly became angry, swore at the cashier and threw the drinks off the counter, spilling them.
