Shreveport police arrest a man in a violent domestic incident on Ratcliff Street

SHREVEPORT, La. (KSLA) – Shreveport Police have arrested a man wanted in connection with a violent domestic incident.

Michael Flowers, 40, is accused of punching his ex-girlfriend in the face multiple times at a home in the 300 block of Ratcliff Street. Officers who responded to the scene said they saw severe lacerations on the left side of the victim's face and eye.

Due to the severity of the woman's injuries, she was taken to hospital and underwent emergency surgery on her left eye.

OTHER CRIMES IN ARKLATEX

The woman told police that Flowers also hit her in the face several times with her cell phone, causing her to briefly lose consciousness. After she came to, she managed to escape the house and ran to a neighbor's house to get help.

Flowers is charged with Domestic Violence (2nd Offense) and Domestic Violence Aggravated Assault.
