Alabama loses its five-star wide receiver contract to Ole Miss

Five-star 2025 wide receiver Caleb Cunningham On Wednesday he announced his commitment Alabama To Ole Misshe announced on Instagram.

Cunningham is the No. 22 overall player and No. 3 receiver in 247 Sports' rankings for the 2025 high school class. The Choctaw County (Miss.) High School graduate is 247's highest-rated player Mississippi State Sports.

Cunningham committed to Alabama on July 13, but still visited rivals like Ole Miss and Auburn. Cunningham told Bama247 in October that he was still “committed” to Alabama, but earlier this week, 247 Sports' Tom Loy predicted he would move to the Rebels.

Alabama's 2025 recruiting class started Wednesday ranked No. 1 nationally but fell to No. 2 Ohio State with Cunningham's flip. Alabama still has 22 players signed, including four five-stars. Alabama's only remaining committed wide receiver is the three-star from New Jersey Lotzeir Brooks.

The early signing period for 2025 prospects begins December 4th.

Alabama has no wide receivers who will use up their eligibility after the 2024 season, but does have four juniors – Germie Bernard, Kendrick Law, Kobe Prentice And Emmanuel Henderson – are eligible for the NFL draft. In addition to these players and star newcomers Ryan Williamsthe flood has too Jalen Hale, Caleb Odom, Cole Adams, Jaren Hamilton, Rico Scott, Bubba Hampton And Amari Jefferson on his 2024 roster at receiver.
