One person injured, one in custody following domestic incident in Harrisonburg

HARRISONBURG, Va. (WHSV) – One person is in custody following an apparent attack that left another person injured in Harrisonburg Wednesday afternoon.

Capt. Jason Kidd of the Harrisonburg Police Department said officers were called to the parking lot of the Harrisonburg-Rockingham Social Services facility on N. Mason Street around 1 p.m

Kidd could not confirm the nature of the attack but said it stemmed from a domestic incident.

He told WHSV that the victim suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

The crime scene was cleared around 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, but the investigation is ongoing.
