Lady Gaga makes a cameo appearance in Season 2 of “Wednesday.”

Lady Gaga is expected to appear in the second season of “Wednesday.” diversity has confirmed with sources.

The exact nature of Gaga's role is being kept secret, but sources say it will be a cameo in the second season of the mega-hit Netflix series, which is currently filming in Ireland. Sources say the production team tried to bring Gaga onto the show for a larger role in the second season, but that ultimately didn't work out.

This will be the latest acting role for Gaga, who is best known for her groundbreaking music career. She most recently starred in “Joker: Folie à Deux” alongside Joaquin Phoenix. She was previously nominated for an Academy Award for Best Actress for her role opposite Bradley Cooper in A Star Is Born. She has also been nominated for best original song three times, including once for “A Star Is Born,” and won that award for her work on the song “Hold My Hand” from “Top Gun: Maverick.” Gaga also appeared in films such as “House of Gucci” and several seasons of “American Horror Story.”

She is represented by CAA, Grubman Shire Meiselas & Sacks and ID PR.

“Wednesday” star Jenna Ortega had previously said this diversity “I'm sure Netflix would love it” for Gaga to appear in the show's new season after a dance scene from “Wednesday” episode 4 exploded on TikTok after it was remixed to Gaga's “Bloody Mary.”

Ortega will reprise his role as popular Addams Family character Wednesday Addams in Season 2, while Catherine Zeta-Jones, Luis Guzmán, Isaac Ordonez and Luyanda Unati Lewis-Nyawo have all been named series regulars.

Zeta-Jones plays Morticia, while Guzmán plays Gomez and Ordonez plays Pugsley. Emma Myers, Joy Sunday, Hunter Doohan, Victor Dorobantu, Moosa Mostafa and Georgie Farmer will also return, as will Fred Armisen and Jamie McShane in guest roles. Other new series regulars include Steve Buscemi, Billie Piper, Evie Templeton, Owen Painter and Noah Taylor. Thandiwe Newton will appear in a guest role, as will actors such as Christopher Lloyd and Haley Joel Osment.

“Wednesday” originally premiered in November 2022 and immediately became a huge hit for Netflix. It ranks as the most-watched English-language show the streamer has ever released and was nominated for 12 Emmys, winning four of them. Work on season 2 was delayed due to the writers and actors strikes that paralyzed large parts of Hollywood in 2023.
