Listen to two songs from the “Wicked” movie in new lyric videos

We have waited for this for many years Evil The film is out, and now it's finally here – and so is the soundtrack! Ahead of the film's theatrical release, Universal and Universal Music Group shared two one-minute lyric music videos, one for “The Wizard and I” and one for “Popular.” The videos are full of real footage combined with colorful pink and green graphics and lyrics to help you sing along and learn the lyrics before it's time to watch the scenes on screen. (Just don't sing along while you're at the movie theater.)

We have heard and seen parts of these musical numbers before Evil Movie promos and trailers, these are the longest previews we have of the songs and isn't that exciting?

“The Wizard and I” isn't as popular as “Popular,” but it's a key song for Elphaba (Cynthia Erivo). “The Wizard and I” is a so-called “I want” song. It shows Elphaba's main desire and what motivates her to keep going. It's like “Part of Your World” by The Little Mermaid.

With nearly 83 million streams on Spotify, “Popular” lives up to its name and is one of the most popular songs from the Broadway musical. Set in Glinda's (Ariana Grande) and Elphaba's dorm room at Shiz University, “Popular” is Glinda's iconic song in which she gives Elphaba a makeover and tries to teach her to become more popular. It's a funny scene that represents a key moment in the witches' relationship. We've already seen most of the footage in the video, but seeing the music, singing, and choreography come together is a wonderful joy that makes us even more excited for the video Evil Movie musical.

While we don't know if the audio in these lyric videos is from a studio recording, it's worth noting that the cast of Evil The film was sung live during filming.
