4 people arrested in connection with drug investigation in Calloway Co.

CALLOWAY COUNTY, Ky. (KFVS) – Four people from Murray, Kentucky were arrested Tuesday in connection with a drug investigation.

According to the Calloway County Sheriff's Office, drug detectives with the Marshall-Calloway Co. Drug Task Force executed search warrants at two different homes in Murray. Four people were subsequently arrested for various drug-related offenses.

Investigators say one of those arrested, 49-year-old Robert A. Babb, was seen trying to flush methamphetamine down a toilet to destroy the evidence.

Babb was then charged with tampering with physical evidence in addition to the drug charges: first degree trafficking in a controlled substance – second or greater offense (meth) and purchasing/possessing drug paraphernalia.

Phillip D. Benson, 40, and Randall Hardee, 41, were both charged with first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance (meth) and purchasing/possessing drug paraphernalia.

Authorities said a fourth person, 34-year-old Tricia N. Wages, was also arrested but was unable to provide her mugshot.

She was charged with 1st Degree Possession of a Controlled Substance – 1st Offense (Meth), Purchasing/Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Trafficking in Meth – Conspiracy (Warrant).

All four people were taken into custody at either the Calloway Co. Detention Center or the Marshall Co. Detention Center.
