Toddler tests positive for cocaine and meth, parents arrested

WINDSOR LOCKS, Conn. (WFSB) – Two parents were arrested after their young child tested positive for cocaine and meth.

In September, Windsor Locks police responded to Ella Grasso at the Bradley Inn to assist DCF in an investigation into two parents, 39-year-old Samantha Levesque and 43-year-old Robert Gravelle.

Police were on scene to help rescue the young child from what they called deplorable conditions. They say Levesque and Gravelle are homeless and struggling with drug addiction.

“Leveque was found to be presumptively positive for cocaine and methamphetamine. Habitual drug use, a current positive drug test and a history of facts and information known to DCF resulted in the child’s removal from this environment and its deplorable conditions,” police said.

When the child was taken to the hospital, his blood tested positive for cocaine and fentanyl.

Levesque and Gravelle were arrested last month on charges of risk of injury, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a controlled substance.

They are due in court at the end of the month.
