Fortnite is rumored to be getting a Marvel Rivals crossover

Fortnite is a crossover game, and now that Disney villains and the Incredibles are running around in Jordans, just about everything is on the line. Disney and Marvel have contributed quite a bit to Fortnite's numerous crossovers over the years, so it shouldn't come as much of a surprise that Fortnite is reportedly crossing over with Marvel Rivals at some point this year.

This is according to Twitter user Wensoing (supported by Fortnite insider Shiina), who claims to have found an image of the crossover on the Marvel Games website. This image shows Marvel Rivals' main character, Galacta, surrounded by various gems and crystals, each with the name of a game written above it, as it appears to be a collaboration with several of Marvel's ongoing live service titles.

In addition to crystals named Marvel Future Fight and Marvel Puzzle Quest, there are also crystals named Marvel Snap and Marvel Rivals. According to Wensiong, this is a major collaboration between Fortnite and Marvel that will begin during the “Chronoverses Collaboration” event, which one would assume will take place before the release of Marvel Rivals next month.

Unfortunately, since this announcement appears to have leaked ahead of schedule, we can't reveal many details. We don't have a clear idea of ​​what these collaborations will entail, what they will add to Fortnite, or when they will launch. It's also worth noting that the image itself is apparently no longer on the Marvel Games website, so it's clear that the event wasn't ready to be announced yet.

Whatever comes of the collaboration, it'll be pretty good marketing for Marvel Rivals as it looks to make a splash when it releases on December 6th. Early impressions from the game's closed beta earlier this year were pretty good, and even better characters like Psylocke and Moon Knight were announced and added during the game's downtime. However, it's likely to be a pretty one-sided collaboration, so don't expect Jonesy to be added to Marvel Rivals any time soon.
