“The Mike Tyson of old”…Jake Paul sent a scary knockout warning from the WWE Hall of Famer

Jake Paul has been warned that he may face a different beast than he is used to on Friday night.

It's just over a day until Paul takes on boxing icon Mike Tyson at AT&T Stadium in Dallas. Over 65,000 participants are expected, and over 280 million subscribers will receive the fight for free as part of their Netflix subscriptions.

And one WWE Hall of Famer believes “Iron Mike” could wear down his years and score a huge knockout victory that night. The former heavyweight champion turned 58 this summer but is still considered one of the most feared punchers in the world.

WWE Hall of Famer Titus O'Neil has seen Jake Paul in the flesh several times

As part of WWE's new broadcast deal with Netflix, global ambassador Thaddeus Bullard has been invited to Texas to take part in the fight week festivities for their first live bout. The former tag team champion, known by the ring name Titus O'Neil, was inducted into the 2020 Hall of Fame class when he won the Warrior Award.

He attended the open training sessions yesterday and watched Mike Tyson almost knock out his own trainer Rafael Cordeiro. And he's actually something of an expert when it comes to Tyson's opponent Jake Paul, having watched his fights live four times.

“I was there for the Mike Perry fight and I was there when he fought Tyron Woodley and got a crazy knockout,” Bullard told Bloody Elbow in an exclusive chat. “I have a lot of respect for him just because he literally threw himself into a sport that he had never done before.

“What he was able to achieve and build, not only for himself but for other fighters in the sport of boxing, was amazing. “We're in sports entertainment and that's very WWE-like when it comes to the preparation of the fight and it There isn’t a much bigger platform than this fight on Netflix.”

Titus O'Neil believes Mike Tyson will score a knockout victory over Jake Paul

But despite his outspoken support for Paul, Bullard still believes Mike Tyson is arguably the greatest boxer of all time. And if “Iron Mike” can show even a hint of his former strength, the WWE star is banking on another quick knockout win.

“Almost every time he did something, whether it was an interview or a fight, just his demeanor and his whole presence and aura that he exuded in every room, he was just ready to fight,” Bullard explained of Tyson.

“He is now at the point where all talk is over and I look forward and hope to see the Mike Tyson of old as best as possible. The fight only lasts eight rounds and two minutes, and at 58 years old anything can happen.

“He's never gone two minutes and considering he's Mike Tyson and I saw him in training yesterday, I wouldn't want to get in the ring with him… My prediction for Friday night, as much as I admire that and respect.” Jake Paul built, I'm an old school fan too.

“This inner fan in me and this old school thing tells me that Mike Tyson will be victorious. And if he wins, it will be by knockout.”
