Swifties receive a warm welcome at the New Orleans airport before the Eras Tour concerts

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) – Swifties arriving in New Orleans today for Taylor Swift's highly anticipated Eras Tour will be greeted with a special reception at Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport (MSY).

From 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., MSY will transform its arrivals area into “The Fly MSY Era: Taylor Swift Welcome Experience,” giving fans a first taste of the magical Taylor Swift set that will take over the city this weekend.

Passengers will be immersed in a festive atmosphere, complete with decorations and activities for fans. DJ Allee Cat will host a Taylor Swift karaoke session on the Jazz Garden Stage and invite fans to sing their favorite songs. There will also be a live performance by Taylor Swift tribute artist Juliet Liuzza.

Swifties can grab friendship bracelets and temporary tattoos as souvenirs while they wait for their next move.

MSY expects an influx of travelers at the sold-out airport Epoch tour shows that from Thursday, October 24th to Sunday, October 27th, an average of 28,000 airline seats arrive each day.

By the end of the weekend, departing flights are also expected to be crowded, with about 27,000 airline seats leaving New Orleans per day and Sunday, Oct. 27, being the busiest with about 31,000 departures.

While Swift's concerts promise to pack the city with 150,000 fans over three nights, MSY's special welcome experience is just the beginning of an exciting weekend in New Orleans.

If you arrive early, don't forget to stop by Champions Square to snag exclusive tour merchandise before the shows begin at Caesars Superdome.
