CSP arrests suspect in connection with stolen vehicle crash near Valmont Road – Boulder Daily Camera

According to the Colorado State Patrol, police have arrested a suspect in connection with a crash involving a stolen vehicle near Valmont Road and North 95th Street around 1:58 p.m. Thursday.

Colorado State Patrol Trooper Sherri Mendez said two passengers were traveling in a stolen Chevy Silverado when they collided with a Mini Cooper and fled on foot. According to Mendez, the driver of the Mini Cooper was not injured in the accident.

While police found one of the occupants of the stolen Chevy Silverado and arrested the person on suspicion of carjacking, Mendez said, they did not find the other occupant, who reportedly stole another vehicle.

Police issued an Everbridge Alert – a cell phone notification to a group of people in a specific area to the public information officer of – around 2:33 p.m. as part of their search for suspects in the area of ​​Isabelle Road, Phillips Road, US 287 and North 95th Street Boulder County, Vinnie Montez. Police believe the incident involving the stolen vehicle occurred in Louisville, Montez said.
