MIAMI — A Miami woman accused of trying to run over her ex-boyfriend in 2023 pleaded no contest to a charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and received a suspended sentence, court records show.

Iviss Aburto, 29, faced several other felony charges in the case. Those charges, including a second count of aggravated assault as well as arson and insurance fraud, were dropped.

Authorities had accused her of using her Mazda to try to run over her ex-boyfriend and another victim, and said her ex fired at her vehicle in self-defense.

She was also accused of falsely reporting her car as stolen and setting it on fire.

Her probation ended Aug. 8, records show.
