Footy Headlines has leaked new images of the 2024/25 Arsenal home kit, showing the front and back of the shirt.

The jersey remains red and white as usual, but also has a blue stripe on the front. While Adidas' shoulder stripes were gold this season, next season they will be blue.

Unlike this season's shirt, the white of the sleeves extends down the sides of the shirt to the hem and around the back.

As previously reported, all Arsenal kits for 2024/25 will feature the cannon logo instead of the usual club crest.

Arsenal have reportedly decided to celebrate the cannon next season, but the crest won't be gone forever.

James McNicholas reported for The Athletic that changing the club's crest to the cannon would not be an easy process, would require consultation with fans and would be expensive.

Most importantly, there is no indication that Arsenal want to change that.

This isn't the first time Arsenal have used a cannon as a badge. This season, the green third kit uses a cannon logo, as do the black away kit in 2022/23 and the yellow away kit in 2021/22.

It's only been a while since the home jersey used a cannon. The last time was in the 1989/90 season, and even then there was an “AFC” in the form of cannonballs. The cannon has not been used alone on an Arsenal home shirt since 1977/78.

Based on previous seasons, Arsenal are likely to wear the new home kit in the final game of the current season against Everton on Sunday May 19, 2024.

One of the other two jerseys will be released at the start of pre-season training, the other later in the summer.
