Pakistani reporter mistakes Ben Stokes for broken English. The England star's viral reaction

England captain Ben Stokes was left in doubt after a Pakistani journalist struggled to formulate a question about the visitors' 823-run total in the first Test in Multan. The incident took place on the eve of the third and crucial Test in Rawalpindi. The journalist made a hilarious attempt to phrase a question in English, leaving Stokes completely confused. He wanted to ask Stokes whether or not England can repeat their total of 823 runs from the first Test in the series decider in Rawalpindi.

After a few failed attempts, the journalist finally managed to get a response from Stokes, who did his best to communicate with the man despite the language barrier.

“That would be nice,” replied Stokes after the journalist asked him if England can repeat their mammoth record on a batting-friendly track at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium.

Meanwhile, Stokes won the toss and elected to bat in the series decider. England are aiming for a second successive Test victory after beating the hosts 3-0 in Pakistan two years ago.

Pakistan leveled the series in Multan last week after star batsman Babar Azam and pacer Shaheen Afridi were dropped from the team by the new selection committee.

Pakistan named an unchanged XI comprising spin twins Sajid Khan and Noman Ali. The duo took all 20 of England's wickets in Multan, giving Pakistan chances of a series win.

Meanwhile, England recalled pacer Gus Atkinson after resting him for the second game. Spinner Rehan Ahmed also returns as the visitors are without Durham godfathers Brydon Carse and Matthew Potts.
