Ross Colton leaves the Avalanche game with an upper-body injury

Ross Colton's night in Utah ended early Thursday.

The Avalanche's leading scorer left the game with an injury and did not return. The team described it as an upper body injury.

Colton scored the opening goal in the first period, but missed the last few plays of the second period in his usual spot at the top. I'm not entirely sure when he was injured or if it was a precautionary measure, but we'll get an update from head coach Jared Bednar after the game.

Colorado led 4-0 through 40 minutes.

More will follow.
