1 Japanese citizen killed in bus crash in Malaysia: Embassy

A bus crashed into a trailer in Malaysia's western state of Perak on Thursday afternoon, killing a Japanese citizen, the Japanese embassy in Malaysia said on Friday.

Local media reported that the accident occurred on a southbound expressway near the city of Taiping.

Thirteen people – eleven Japanese tourists and a local driver and tour guide – were reportedly injured.
