Lil Durk was arrested in South Florida and charged with murder-for-hire.

On Thursday (October 24), Durk was taken into custody in Broward County, Florida. XXL has confirmed through police records. Chicago-born rapper Durk Banks faces a murder-for-hire charge and is being held without bail. He is currently in the Broward County Jail awaiting custody transfer to the U.S. Marshals.

Five OTF members arrested for murder of Quando Rondo's cousin

Durk's arrest comes hours after five Chicago residents and suspected OTF members were arrested and charged with murder-for-hire and murder-for-hire conspiracy in connection with the 2022 Los Angeles killing of Quando Rondo's 24-year-old cousin Saviay'a Robinson .

The indictment filed in U.S. District Court in Los Angeles alleges that all five men are employees of Lil Durk's OTF collective Chicago Tribune. The five men's flights and rental cars were paid for with a credit card tied to the tag, prosecutors allege. Prosecutors also reportedly allege that an unnamed member of the OTF offered “lucrative music opportunities” to anyone who would kill Quando Rondo.

Quando Rondo and his team were in Los Angeles on August 19, 2022, when their vehicle was shot at a gas station in the Beverly Grove neighborhood. Quando Rondo escaped unscathed. But his cousin was hit in the shootout and died from his injuries.

Police believe the shooting was in retaliation for the death of Lil Durk's protégé King Von, who was shot by an affiliate of Quando Rondo after a brawl outside an Atlanta lounge in November 2020.
