Pete Davidson resurfaces months after seeking mental health treatment

Pete Davidson resurfaced for the first time in months after seeking psychiatric treatment in July.

The “Saturday Night Live” alum posed for a photo with his pal MGK on Thursday night as they enjoyed a preview of “The Room” at the Intuit Dome in Los Angeles, the LA Clippers' new home arena.

Davidson, 30, wore a red FDNY T-shirt at the event.

The T-shirt with the FDNY logo and the words “Fire Dept. of New York” was probably a tribute to his late father.

The comedian's father, Scott Matthew Davidson, served as a firefighter in New York and died in the September 11 terrorist attacks. Pete was 7 years old at the time.

The King of Staten Island star appeared to be in great spirits for the outing as he was seen smiling alongside MGK, formerly known as Machine Gun Kelly.

Pete's rare public appearance comes more than two months after the “Bodies Bodies Bodies” star checked himself into a wellness facility to work on his mental health.

In August, his rep confirmed to Page Six that he was still undergoing treatment despite reports to the contrary.

Davidson had also previously spent time in rehab in June 2023 to help deal with his post-traumatic stress disorder and borderline personality disorder.

“Pete goes to rehab regularly to exercise and get a mental break, and that’s exactly what’s happening,” an insider told Us at the time.

“Anyone who knows Pete knows he will always step in and get help when he knows he needs it.”

The actor has spoken openly about his mental health problems for years.

He revealed to “CBS Sunday Morning” in 2020 that he had extreme suicidal thoughts and was “close” to acting on them.

In 2018, he worried fans when he said he “didn't want to be on this earth anymore.”

“I'm doing my best to stay here for you, but I actually don't know how much longer I can keep it up,” he posted on Instagram at the time.

That same year, Pete told Variety that he had been “in and out of mental health facilities” since the age of nine.

Despite his difficulties, he felt that the right doctors and medication helped him take a more positive path.

“The last few years have been really hard for me,” he said.

“I took all these mental health classes and really spent a lot of time getting myself better.”
