Hedge fund giant and Kamala Harris fundraiser Marc Lasry is accused of sexual harassment by a former manager who allegedly tried to extort him out of $50 million

Hedge fund boss Marc Lasry has been accused of sexual harassment in a lawsuit filed by a former manager at his firm – less than a week after the billionaire filed his own complaint alleging she tried to cheat him out of $50 million blackmail.

Lasry — the co-founder of Avenue Capital Group and a major fundraiser for Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris — allegedly forcibly kissed and groped Gina Strum, according to her complaint filed Wednesday in New York state court.

“Lasry sexually abused [Gina] Strum was continuously employed throughout her employment,” the lawsuit said.

Strum, who worked in business development at Avenue from 2009 to 2013, also sued Lasry for discrimination and retaliation. The lawsuit includes discrimination claims against Lasry's sister and Avenue co-founder Sonia Gardner.

Lasry and Avenue filed a lawsuit against Strum last Friday, accusing her of demanding $50 million to stop them from spilling dirt on him and the company.

“MS. Strum's desperate attempt to claim that Mr. Lasry behaved inappropriately and sexually harassed her is completely untrue,” an Avenue spokesman told The Post on Thursday.

“Avenue filed a defamation lawsuit against them on October 18th. They refused to pay their extortionate demands. Your claims filed yesterday include additional defamatory and false statements. “Mr. Lasry and Avenue will respond to Ms. Strum's false defamatory statements and defend her reputation to the fullest extent of the law,” the spokesman added.

Daniel Kaiser, one of Strum's lawyers, claimed Lasry filed his lawsuit in a preemptive attempt to silence his client.

Lasry, 65, who is married with five children, has claimed that Strum's alleged threats began shortly after she left the company.

According to Lasry's lawsuit, she received an undisclosed amount of severance pay and continued to work as a consultant for Avenue over the past decade.

Strum's countersuit alleges that Lasry began sexually harassing her shortly after she was hired and continued to do so later that year while she was working as a consultant for the company.

“Lasry made it clear to Strum that even though Lasry was married, he wanted both a romantic and sexual relationship with her,” the complaint states.

Strum was “horrified” by Lasry’s request and immediately rejected him, her lawsuit says.

But that reportedly hasn't stopped Lasry, the former owner of the NBA's Milwaukee Bucks.

“During her employment, Lasry frequently forced Strum, against her will and without her consent, to hug Lasry so he could press against her breasts and grope her,” the lawsuit says.

He claims Strum sent him inappropriate emails and text messages, including one that said, “You're a heartbreak to me.”
