Plymouth man accused of killing his father to get competency evaluation

BROCKTON, Mass. (WLNE) – A 26-year-old man accused of stabbing his father will await arraignment pending the outcome of a competency evaluation.

Police said Matthew Paluzzi stabbed and killed his 73-year-old father after an argument in August.

According to prosecutors, he told police he “freaked out.”

His mother told police when she called 911 after finding her husband that Paluzzi was suffering from mental health problems.

Paluzzi was arrested in Hanover in connection with the investigation.

He is due back in court on November 14th.
