Fort Bend DA leads the Anti-Crime Impact Team in Fresno

Richmond, TX – In response to complaints from residents about illegal activity, the Fort Bend County District Attorney's Office conducted a zero-tolerance crime reduction operation in Fresno on September 10th and 11th. During the operation, authorities conducted 271 traffic stops and arrested 11 suspects, including two wanted fugitives. They also seized a firearm and more than 200 grams of narcotics.

District Attorney investigators, police officers, deputy constables and state troopers worked together as a force multiplier to combat criminal activity at the street level in a systematic effort to reduce crime in Fresno.

“Community policing promotes collaboration between law enforcement and the community to address crime and social issues,” said District Attorney Brian M. Middleton.

The operation was developed in response to residents' concerns raised at City Hall.

“The criminals in Fort Bend County are aware of our coming and will work tirelessly for justice,” Middleton said.

Participating agencies included Fort Bend County Precincts 3 and 4, the Texas Department of Public Safety, the Houston Police Department and the Missouri City Police Department.
