18-year-old arrested in connection with suspected murder-for-hire on Brady Street

BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) – An 18-year-old has been arrested in connection with a suspected murder-for-hire in Baton Rouge.

According to Baton Rouge police, 18-year-old Anthony Torreganohayes was arrested on October 24 for his involvement in the shooting death of 44-year-old Johnny Ray Green.

The shooting happened Sept. 14 in the 3400 block of Brady Street near the North Acadian Thruway.

Investigators believe Torreganohayes was hired to shoot Green.

Torreganohayes was booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison on charges of first-degree murder and illegal use of a weapon.

During the investigation, investigators learned that Torreganohayes was arrested by BRPD on October 1 for a previous incident. A tip from Crime Stoppers helped with the arrest.
