Public drunkenness

On August 31, Manning Police Department officers responded to Tractor Supply Company in Manning in reference to a man disturbing store employees. An officer spoke with the store manager, who stated that a black man wearing a red hat and black vest was walking around the front of the store trying to ask her a question. The manager didn't answer him because she couldn't understand him and said he seemed drunk. The manager stated that the male subject attempted to walk out the door with a pellet gun, but was stopped by store employees before he exited the door. The manager stated that the male subject exited the front door and walked toward the Dollar Tree for a few minutes before officers arrived on scene. The manager requested that the man be cited for trespassing if he could be found. An officer was able to locate the male subject in question and was able to determine from previous encounters that the male subject was Donald Walters. The officer spoke with Walters, who stated he was not at Tractor Supply Company and did not attempt to take a pellet gun. The officer noted that Walters' speech was slurred when he attempted to speak to the officer and that his breath had the odor of alcohol. The officer told Walters he would be cited for trespassing at Tractor Supply Company. Walters was subsequently arrested for public intoxication and taken to the Clarendon County Detention Center without incident.

She stated that the items were picked up on May 27, 2024 and were scheduled for delivery on June 27, 2024. She stated that the items had not yet been delivered and that the moving company was unable to assist her with this issue. The complainant stated that the items included household furniture, clothing, children's toys, camping equipment, electronics, tools and more. She said the items had a net value of $81,550. She requested that a report be prepared for insurance purposes.

SHOPPLIFTING
